Jacqueline has been in the accounting field for over 20 years.  Early on, she was very fortunate to have a great mentor who nurtured her and helped her through the beginning of her career.  She worked for a public accounting firm for 13 years, specializing in divorce litigation, bookkeeping and tax preparation as a Staff Accountant.  In addition, she also assisted other accountants doing books by hand, which was an eye opening experience.

Through her career journey, she realized that being in the accounting arena was her calling in life.  As the career grew she had a dream; that dream was to bring back the gold standard of Customer Service and through her long experience, she came to realize that, while of course people want someone who has true expertise, they also want someone who takes the time to listen to what the individual problem is. And, above all, has integrity, utmost professionalism and the ability to be flexible.

For the past twenty-five years, she has worked in the private accounting sector handling all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Collections, Payroll and for the last 3 years she has centered her attention on the public accounting sector. She also has significant experience in interfacing with clients whether it’s training on Quick Books or handling difficult issues, designing and documenting procedures and in working with programmers to code and debug several complex invoicing programs. Her knowledge and attention to detail have made her an incredible asset to Souza & Associates, Inc. but especially to all our Client’s that she interfaces with day to day.
